James Gordon is a Managing Director with the Disputes and Investigations national team and the West Coast Leader of the Discovery Services practice based in the Los Angeles office. He has 25 years of experience in conducting and managing complex high stakes litigation and investigations for a diverse group of clients in matters involving: responding to regulatory and governmental inquires; independent investigations for Special Committees; criminal and commercial litigation; product and environmental liability; patent litigation; theft of proprietary information and managing large scale electronic discovery projects. Mr. Gordon has served as the electronic discovery project manager on more than 20 investigations on behalf of Special Committees and their independent counsel investigating allegations of corporate improprieties, revenue recognition issues and employee stock option inquiries. Mr. Gordon is recognized nationally for his expertise in electronic discovery and computer forensics and was one of the pioneers in investigating computer and cyber-crime.  Mr. Gordon is also an course instructor in the Continuing Legal Education program.
