There are a number of electronic document management systems on the market today that are appropriate for litigation purposes. In addition, there are many application service providers who make their document management systems available through secure websites. Navigant Consulting assists clients in determining the most appropriate review platforms for individual cases and for clients who have repeat or multiple matters to manage. Navigant Consulting’s Discovery Services professionals remain abreast of new technologies to ensure we recommend the right tool when needed.
We work with our clients, chosen providers and the client’s information technology staff to ensure that software applications are properly configured and installed, systems are appropriately secured and systems are performance optimized and users are properly trained.
Document Review Planning and Management
Navigant Consulting assists clients in the document review process by developing systems and procedures to organize the documents being reviewed; preparing work units for the reviewing attorneys or experts; monitoring and reporting on the progress of document review; tracking the results of the review; and providing quality assurance. During the entire review process we measure productivity so that staffing can be adjusted to meet document production schedules and deadlines. We also create catalogs of relevant, privileged, and confidential documents, based on the determinations of reviewing attorneys and experts.
Collectively, we have successfully managed hundreds of reviews utilizing applications including: Stratify, Applied Discovery, nMatrix, FYI Concordance, Summation iBlaze, and MetaLINCS. Whether the tool selected is hosted by our client or one of several application service providers, we work with our clients and the technology solution provider to ensure systems are performing at optimum levels. We take the steps necessary to confirm that software applications are properly configured and installed; systems are appropriately secured; and users are properly trained.
